422 Linda's Best Dress and Top

I needed a cape break.  Don't judge me.  I rarely have multiple projects going.  I like to complete one thing before I tackle another.  This time though I just wanted a switch from labour intensive to easy peasy.

I took my standard TNT aline pattern with yoke for a woven and converted it for a knit with a simple elastic waist (sans yoke).  Using a black ponti knit, I sewed it up,  It's nothing special but it is an easy wearing skirt for cooler weather.  Total time: 3 hours. Cost: $12.

I had about 1.5m of the ponti left so I did up a top (Linda McPhee) for mom that I picked up while at the Creativ Festival:  #422 Linda's Best Dress and Top. Mom had made a request for a copy of an existing top and this pattern really seemed to fit the bill.  I ran 5/8 strips of interfacing around the neck and shoulders to prevent any stretching, zigzagged the seams, and twin needled the hems.  I really really liked working with this material, and I don't usually enjoy knits.  Total time: 3hrs.  Cost: $12.

you're running your own personal sweat shop :)

i really like the belt on the cape, the problem with mine not having one im constantly hauling it forward or back, it must keep it from going lopsided on you
